WTF?!?!?!?!
After the movie ended I watched the credits just to remind myself it was a Disney movie, this is the most depressing Disney movie in existence?!?! A kid trying to see his dead dad once more by getting all these boy scout badges because his dad promised him they would get some ice cream when he does back when he was alive, a couple wanting kids to find the wife is barren, the wife figuring it was ok because she wanted to explore South America anyways to find that they never had the money to go on the trip, the wife dying (she died in a Disney movie?!) to have the husband take their house they built to South America because after she died he started calling the house by her name and he associated her with the house, the husband and dead wife's childhood hero setting the house that the husband associated as his wife with on FIRE, the childhood hero firing multiple times at the fatherless child just trying to earn his last patch because he kept telling himself his dead dad will take him out for that ice cream... the list goes on.
I could not stand how depressing this movie was, I almost left, this was not at all how it was advertised, every commercial had the only 5 comedic parts in it, that was it for the comedy, no more comedy in the whole movie, and since I saw the commercials all the comedy wasn't even a part of the movie for me, all I had was the depressing parts, wow just wow.
If it wasn't a Disney movie, I would have no complaints, overall it was a very excellent movie, it just doesn't feel like a Disney movie.
If you don't care about spoilers, or if you have already seen the movie, select my entire post and the white words will become viewable.
